The Fenton Linden Griffins hockey team won at Student Night on Wednesday Dec. 7. Students in attendance received a team t-shirt by showing their school I.D.. The Griffins won the game 4-2 against tri-team, Creek, Clio and Flushing.

“I feel happy; it’s a great way to start the season off right,” freshmanLoren Jones said.

AGS middle school teacher Melani Loria volunteered at Student Night by passing out t-shirts and working the raffle table.

“I didn’t get to see too much of that game since I was at the t-shirt prize table all night,” Loria said. “We did give out 50 t-shirts to the first 50 Fenton/Linden students.”

The Griffins scored their winning goal at 15:53, in the third quarter by Linden junior Cody Engberg.

The hockey next game is on Dec. 14 at 7 p.m. against Oxford High School, at the Hartland home rink.
