Varsity bowling falls to Kearsley

Fenton varsity bowling began its season competing against Kearsley on Dec. 3. The boys team lost 29-1 and the girls lost 30-0.

“Although we lost, I still think the game went well,” freshman Abbey Lamb said. “I think we did pretty good considering the fact that Kearsley is one of the best teams in our district.”

The boys bowling team scored one point against Kearsley, team captain Alex Keith winning one out of 10 one-on-one games. Kearsley won against Fenton in both of the two baker games (where one person bowls the first and sixth frames, second and seventh, third and eighth, so on and so forth).

“In the past, we’ve never even come close to scoring on [Kearsley],” sophomore Nathan Doyon said. “So it is safe to say that we’re improving.”

Fenton’s next game is Dec. 10 against Clio and Holly, hosted at Cherry Hill Lanes in Clarkston.
