Ellie Vasbinder, Assistant Print Editor in Chief

Senior Ellie Vasbinder has been on staff all four years of her high school career. Outside the classroom Ellie enjoys dancing on Miss Bridget’s School of Dance’s competition team, drawing, traveling and being outside as much as she can. She is passionate about many topics, environmentalism being one, and is a member of the Environmental Club as well. This year she hopes to become more acquainted with journalism outside of highschool, and is considering making a career out of investigative journalism and/or graphic design. Her goal this year is to graduate and get accepted to Michigan State University.

“We are each others cheerleaders, we cheer each other on in every situation. Even if one of us is achieving more than the other. For example, freshman year when I was in the top five runners for cross country, Chloe cheered me on even though it was hurting her. Then junior year when I was injured and Chloe worked hard to become one of the top seven runners, I was super proud of her. We’ve played sports together, we have been a part of each other’s life each and every day and I wouldn’t change it for the world.” - junior Coral Lefever

“I recently got my first job at Mega Coney Island as a waitress. It was really hard at first, but I’m extremely proud of myself for sticking with it and learning instead of just giving up. It was hard to memorize the menu in a short amount of time, and also talking to strangers was out of my comfort zone. But I think any job is hard and stressful when you first start, so I would say I’m most proud of myself for committing to it because It helped my communication skills and it’s taught me a lot about responsibility.
