Christmas in the snow is the way to go
December 20, 2018
“Walking in a winter wonderland” is just one of the ways that many spend the holiday season, and it happens to be the best way. Spending the Winter months in a snowy place provides endless activities and enjoyment.
Some activities include skiing and snowboarding, snowshoeing, sledding, ice hockey and snowball fights. These activities offer a fun alternative form of exercise than what is available during the warmer months of the year.
According to The Odyssey, during the snowy holiday season is the best time to rediscover your town and look at the changing landscape around as it is now covered in snow.
Spending the winter holiday in the snow offers a beautiful change in landscape views as the ground, trees, the roofs on houses, and everything is covered in a gorgeous blanket of snow.
With the Christmas season comes many Christmas movies; almost all well-known Christmas movies are set in the snow. Movies such as Miracle on 34th Street, Santa Claus one through three, Santa Claus is Comin’ to town and How the Grinch Stole Christmas all contain a landscape of snow and ice as they are set in the Winter.
If spending Christmas in the snow wasn’t the best way, then many beloved classic holiday movies and songs wouldn’t include talking about or be set in the snow.
From songs like “Let it Snow” and “Walking in a Winter Wonderland” to “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” and “Cold December Night”, Christmas songs also revolve around the fluffy white snow.
Chilling in the snow is by far the way to go for Christmas. Whether trying a winter activity or watching a holiday classic, the best way to spend this Christmas is in the snow.
