“I have danced at Miss Bridgets School of Dance for 13 years. I have won many awards with my team and by myself as a soloist. Something that really bothers me is when people don’t recognize competitive dance as a sport. We put just as much time and dedication into dance as any other sport. Everyone on the team spends 10 or more hours a week conditioning and training. The only difference between our sport and ‘mainstream’ sports is that our season lasts 11 months. No matter what other people say I will always continue my passion for dance.”
