Students are shoulder to shoulder each day in the hallways, but how much do they really know about the people walking next to them? This series will feature the students of FHS along with their talents, hobbies and passions. “A Closer Look” is meant to showcase what makes the students of FHS who they are.
For Julia Blanchard music has been a big part of her life and this story will talk more about her music career.
“I love music and singing because it is how I cope with my emotions,” senior Julia Blanchard said. “It’s how I say things without actually saying anything.”
Blanchard began music at a young age as a fun thing to do in her free time. She now does it much more seriously.
“My mom has always been my biggest inspiration and the reason why I started music,” Blanchard said.
With music being such a big part of her life starting young, she plans to take her talents to the next level after leaving FHS.
“Something a lot of people don’t know about me and my music is that I want to go to college to major in songwriting,” Blanchard said.
Blanchard has many reasons for loving music. She loves the way many people can relate even if they communicate through language.
“My favorite thing about music is the diversity, there are so many different cultures and traditions,” Blanchard said. “There are so many sounds and different genres of music, I feel that this really helps unify our world and bring people together.”
