Back by Popular Demand! The FHS Ambassadors performance, “Save the World” on February 21 and 22 ends on a high note
On February 21 and 22, the Ruby F. Zima auditorium was filled with the voices of the Fenton Ambassadors. The Ambassadors performed songs from artists such as Billy Joel, Pentatonix, Disney’s “Frozen” and many more.
“Our selection of music comes from varied sources,” Ambassadors director, Brad Wright, said. “Sometimes I’ll hear a song I like on the radio, or I’ll look at songs in upcoming movies. The Ambassadors help as well in choosing the songs we perform.”
The Ambassadors also featured several senior soloists, such as Luke Fralick. Fralick sings in the Bass section.
“I sang Hallelujah,” Fralick said. “It was the song I used to auditioned with to get into Ambassadors. Being an Ambassador has been great and the best part of it were the relationships I formed with the others.”
Another featured soloist was Sadie Thompson, a Soprano.
“I sang American Honey by Lady Antebellum,” Thompson said. “I’m going to miss performing for the Ambassadors but not as much as I’ll miss the people. They were all great.”
The Ambassadors next performance will be their finale, where seniors will take their final bow after what is sure to be another standing-ovation worthy performance.
“I’m going to miss all of the seniors, “Wright said. “But of them all, I think I’ll miss Michael VanCamp and Jacob Lang the most. They’ve been in Ambassadors since they were freshmen and they’re always giving it their all.”
The Ambassadors finale will take place on May 9 and 10.
