“Wrestling is my passion, so far this season I’m undefeated at 106lbs. My ultimate goal this season is to win states, I think it’s achievable for sure. I’m ranked first in the region right now but there’s plenty of great wrestlers in the state. A podium finish at states as a freshman would definitely be a dream come true.” – Henry Golembiewski

( My favorite thing about hockey is ) probably meeting new people and playing with my team. My favorite subjects in school would definitely be math or science, stuff like that. “I’m on the varsity swim team: I mostly do sprinting events such as the 100 of any stroke. I’m also pretty good at the 50 freestyle, 200 freestyle, and the individual medley. My favorite thing to do, though, is relays. I like the team aspect and being able to cheer everyone on. Outside of swimming, I like to lift, golf, and play Rainbow Six Siege. I also love being around my family: I have an older brother who graduated last year. We like to play Mario Kart together.” - Junior Finley Hughes

“I’m passionate about music and sports. I play volleyball and sing in the Ambassadors. I also lead the worship team for my youth group, which is something I love being a part of. In my free time, I enjoy reading and writing, and I hope to publish my own novel someday. “I do like theater. It gives me a chance to not be me. Dramatic. I can be dramatic. It’s fun because I get to meet all these new people and I get to act. I help with the crew. I’m not part of the crew, but I’m part of the cast. I am a part of CTH (Community Theater of Howell), I have been there since I was 8. My grandpa directs the stuff there so I was there all the time. My third production was at Pinckney Players, and now I’m acting at FHS.” -Sophomore Kaidence Neil

“I really enjoy playing video games and just like hanging out with my friends. My favorite video game is probably splatoon 3. I have played it since I was like eight. It’s just like really cool. It’s very colorful, very like fast paced game. There’s a lot of strategy that can go into it if you really play it like that, but it can also be played casually, so it’s very versatile to. I really like math this year. I feel like it’s very easy to understand the material. I play bass clarinet, but I also play clarinet and tenor saxophone. “I’ve done concert band since sixth grade, so four years now. I’ve only been in marching band for two: It’s a hobby that makes me calm down and focus on something. I play mellophone and french horn; I’m best at french horn. Band has offered me a lot of great opportutunities. Last year, in wind ensemble, we went to a festival for states and got straight ones.
