“My favorite thing from America so far has been the events outside school. I love the football games and all of homecoming weekend, I did powderpuff too and I had fun. Although the school year just started I’ll never forget my exchange year to America.” -Senior Pia Otrlieb
“I would say I’m pretty passionate about theater. I’ve been doing it since fourth grade, so that’s six years. I am really into this stuff and having this opportunity to do it at my high school is really nice and is a really good home for a lot of people who want to do this similar thing when they grow up. I actually am going to go to college, probably University of Michigan, for theater, musical theater, screenwriting and directing and whatever else you can go for for filming. Through my time in the theater department I’ve found a lot of jobs and opportunities that seem appealing to me and I would like to try them.” -Sophomore Gage Ogle
“I’ll probably go to college or something, or hopefully get into college. I’m aiming for John Hopkins, that’s kind of not in my range. So whatever accepts me, I guess. I was trying to be a trauma nurse for a hospital and stuff, because it just seems and I like to help people.” -freshman Makayla Novotny
“I'm Aiden. I like musical instruments. I play the guitar. I'm also very passionate about, maybe outdoors things you know like survival type items. You just get strained out in the wilderness, you only get a couple things get, like a little bag with survival items they have to survive with things like those.” -Freshman Aiden Brelinski
“I've been playing soccer for around 12 years. My favorite part about Fenton soccer is the brothership and the home it gives to each of us. Every day, you could go to practice whether it was a great day for you at school or an absolutely awful one, and know that each one of your brothers will support you and make you feel like a family again. I have offers to play soccer in college, but I still have to make a decision because of all the injuries I’ve had while playing.” -Senior Sawyer Miller
“I’m Alexandra, I’m a 10th grader and I am in KEY club and ECO club. Outside of school I like to go out with friends and travel with my family. In my free time I listen to Lana Del Ray, I’m a huge fan and I got to see her in concert a while ago. I haven’t always gone to Fenton, I came to Fenton in 9th grade from Notre Dame Prep. I enjoy FHS more than any school I’ve gone to because of the great community of people and the majority of opportunities I have here.” -Sophomore Alexandra Stern
“I am on FHS’s varsity volleyball team. I’ve been playing volleyball for five years and have been a part of SLPR, Legends, and Arsenal’s volleyball clubs. We’ve achieved a lot as a team: We won the Metro and this year were 25-3. I take my education very seriously: I’ve taken numerous advanced classes, some of my favorites being AP Statistics, AP Government, and IB Spanish. I also enjoy hanging out with my friends and family.” -Senior Abby Gonzales
I am pretty passionate about writing. I love writing since I was like seven years old. Was there anything you think that might have inspired you to be interested in writing? My grandpa who inspired me, because he bought me my first ever notebook when I was younger, and I started writing and I never stopped.” - Freshman Danica Stimic
“I’ve done concert band since sixth grade, so four years now. I’ve only been in marching band for two: It’s a hobby that makes me calm down and focus on something. I play mellophone and french horn; I’m best at french horn. Band has offered me a lot of great opportutunities. Last year, in wind ensemble, we went to a festival for states and got straight ones. After highschool, I plan on going to Northwestern to study engineering. I’ve always been a couple steps ahead in math, so engineering kind of just feels like my calling.” -Sophomore Ava Dudley
“I’m really into arts and criminal justice. Art runs in my family and a lot of people are good at it in my family. I find criminal justice so interesting and all the detective things are interesting to me. I am planning on taking forensics in the future. I looked into being a homicide detective negotiator in the future and that is my goal. One of my moms friends is a homicide detective negotiator and that interests me.” - freshman Ayva Douglas
“My biggest achievement is that I’ve always had straight A’s in English class, and I usually got A’s on all of my pieces I had to do last year. I’ve taken a creative writing class in seventh grade, and I’ve been on AB honor roll since kindergarten. I write a lot, sometimes for fun. For college, I want to go somewhere big out of state, and I want to do something with writing. I remember in 5th grade I wrote a whole story with two of my friends. I’ve always taken writing electives; that has always been my favorite class.” - freshman Victoria Pena-Sweetman
“Recently I’ve been listening to music. I have 1566 songs on Spotify. I have a bedtime playlist I use. I listen to Hell of a Ride by Bo Burnham, Please Please Please by Sabrina Carpenter, and I am a major fan of J Pal when I can find it. My favorite book series ( is ) the Unwanteds. I’ve read the first series and then I’m trying to work on the second spin-off series.” - Freshman Joshua McConnell
“I’ve always thought being an aviation person would be cool. I’ve always really liked airplanes. I don’t know if I want to be a pilot, but maybe fly a private plane, not just for fun. There’s actually some really cool small planes out there, but as a career, I really don’t know, just something that would help other people and something like that, but I really do like vehicles and transportation a lot. I would say that, but I don’t know for a career.” -sophomore Kavaun Gregory
“Something I do out of school is play soccer. My favorite aspect of soccer is my teammates we’ve played together a while and I love playing with them. Soccer has taught me many traits such as perseverance in tough times, and never quitting even with a bad coach or teammates. I hoping to pursue a career in computer science after high school.” - Senior Jensen O’brien
“I'm passionate about my extracurriculars that I do, and my clubs, and I'm also passionate about volunteering. The ones I'm in school is Eco Club, NHS, Student Council, Key Club, FYI and book club. And then I'm in two at my church, which is called the prayer team and champions club. And I don't have a favorite, honestly, like I love them all equal, but I say that I do the most, probably in NHS, just because it requires a ton of hours and volunteering outside of Schools. I was in Girl Scouts when I was younger, which that was kind of just for like a moment, like I didn't really do anything, but once I got into high school, I didn't want to focus on sports, because I'm just not a sports person. And I guess I just like, found like peace in volunteering and doing things for the community. And I met so many different kinds of people and so many friends in all those clubs.”
“I have been cheering for 12 years now and I still love it just as much as I did when I was a youth cheerleader. My favorite part about cheer is spending my Friday nights on the sidelines with my best friends. I have grown so much as a person and an athlete through FVC and I’m beyond grateful for every moment with the team. We are like a family and there is no bond like it. I’m very excited for my senior season and to see what my future cheer career holds.” - Sophia Markley
“I'm apart of the varsity track & field team as well at the gymnastics team here at FHS. While track is somewhat new for me, I have done gymnastics practically all my life: With years of training, I was able to qualify for states my sophmore, junior, and ,hopefully, my senior year. Outside of sports, I love working out, traveling, hanging out with my friends and just being outside in general.” - senior Molly Dixon
“I like to run a lot. I run the 3,200 and the 1,600 in track which is two miles and one mile. At the middle school state meet last year, I actually came first in the two mile with the time of 1004 besting all of the other runners in the state. I do well in cross country, probably not as well as track, but I find it more fun.” -Gavin Katic
"My favorite place to travel is Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. I go for a week every summer with my parents and two sisters. We stay in a condo right on the ocean near the downtown area with all the stores and restaurants. It’s a beach town so even though there are always so many people, it’s all is very relaxed. I like it a lot because everything is so close and it’s easy to just walk down the street for dinner or ice cream after a day at the beach."- Senior Remy Sharp
“I've been playing softball since I was five, now I play for Turnin2 Caten and I have been on this team since I was 13. I’m most excited to travel to Chattanooga, Tennessee for a tournament this summer because that’s always a super fun tournament. Our team is like a family, we are all so close and best friends.” -junior Izzy MacCaughan
