“I am passionate about my academics. I strive to get good grades and it really helps me feel better about myself, and overall just taking good care of myself. I take IB Bio, IB Chemistry, IB lit. Last year, I took AP psychology and AP government. A piece of advice I would give to an underclassman is to strive to do your best because it will pay off later in your high school career.” – senior Addie Browne

“I really enjoy playing video games and just like hanging out with my friends. My favorite video game is probably splatoon 3. I have played it since I was like eight. It’s just like really cool. It’s very colorful, very like fast paced game. There’s a lot of strategy that can go into it if you really play it like that, but it can also be played casually, so it’s very versatile to. I really like math this year. I feel like it’s very easy to understand the material. I play bass clarinet, but I also play clarinet and tenor saxophone. I’ve never really felt that way about learning something. I just found it so interesting. I want to be able to help people with what is going on in their minds, especially athletes because I understand first hand how mentally challenging some sports can be. “I moved to Michigan in March of this year: Before, I lived in Tacoma, Washington. I moved because my stepdad got a job in Redford, near Detroit. I have five siblings, 4 brothers and 1 sister. Only 1 of my siblings moved down with us, my 11-year-old brother Elvis. Outside of school I really like going to the gym. I started lifting about two years ago and have been passionate about it since. I go as much as I have time for, so usually five to six days a week. My other interest is roller coasters. I’ve been to Cedar Point five times before moving to Michigan.”

“I'm really passionate keeping a positive attitude, because if I see someone that's not very positive, I always want to try to at least make some things positive. I feel like we have a better positive attitude, things will turn out better. I have a lot of favorite books, like a Court of Thorns and Roses. That was my first book, and that was first series I started (reading). But my current favorite book is Fourth Wing.” -Freshman Olivia Marchand
