“Over the course of high school so far from the people I’ve been exposed, I’ve learned that if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself. I’ve also come to realize that you can’t rely on anyone else to be the source of your happiness; you have to make yourself happy, and only you. That’s the only and best way to live.” - sophomore Olivia Resa

“One of the things I’ve been most passionate about ever since I was little is dance. I’ve been training ever since I was 2 years old and I haven’t stopped since. It’s something that gives me an escape from reality and puts me in such a happy place. My plan is to become a dance major after high school and pursue that as my career for awhile. I wouldn’t be me without it.” - senior Maria Ebert

“Something I’m passionate about would be volunteer work. It seems like it would be a very typical and normal response but it’s my one way to give back. So many people do so many things to make my life easier and I want to be able to do that for someone who needs it. It allows me to make a difference in people’s lives. It also has allowed me to meet many people that have the same goals that I do.” - junior Madelynn Thomas

“I would remind my younger self to live in the moment rather than the past or the future. I spent a lot of time worrying about my future when I was younger and from that I unfortunately, you could say, ‘lost my childhood’ because I was too busy worrying about being an adult.” - senior Jaidyn Rogers

“It is so important to have integrity. High School has taught me that I will always be happier if I am kind and genuine, even if others are negative. I’ve learned that although those who write you off are not worth your stress, it only makes me feel worse to be negative back. In reality, no one knows what’s really going on in someone else’s life, and we should just treat others how we want to be treated.” - senior Megan Beemer

“Theater is something I am passionate about because I like making people laugh. I enjoy being in funny shows because you know that you’re going to make someone’s day. I started when I was very young so I looked up to a lot of the older people at the theatre, I wanted to be as talented as them when I grew up. I still look up to some of those people today.” - junior Lilah Dagenais

“Music is a passion of mine because it lets me get lost in the melody and takes my mind off things. Being able to be apart of amazing groups such as Ambassadors and jazz band makes me look forward to waking up and going to school everyday. Music is a passion because it’s not necessarily just being able to play or sing it, another part is being able to form amazing relationships with other people that enjoy it just as much as you.” - Autumn Decker

“One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned so far is that in every situation you’re unsure of, you need to have faith that everything will work out in your favor. Whether you’re happy about the outcome in the moment or not, there’s always a greater purpose being served. Even in bad situations when everything goes the opposite of what you planned, there is always something to be taken away and kept in the back of your mind for the future. Every little thing we experience throughout our lives helps shape us into the people we want to become. We’re all going to have to fall sometimes only to get back up and continuing to grow as human beings.” - junior Taylor Farrell

“I’m really passionate about creating things that not only bring myself joy in doing but also something other people can enjoy weather that be me painting custom clothing or just wearing something unique. I also love performing to bring others joy like in marching band, choir, and theater. I’m passionate about not only bringing myself joy but bringing others joy as well.” - Lilly Thompson

“With college applications closing in, the future seems so close. One of my highest aspirations is to become a corporate lawyer. To achieve this, I aspire on attending either the University of Michigan or Ohio State for political science with a minor in history. It’s my hope to be able to incorporate my education of politics and law into a career that I’d love.” - senior Jake Novak

"I've been playing hockey for about 11 years," sophomore Nick Temple (44) said. "My dad introduced me to it, and I wanted to be like my brother so I started skating. My favorite part is the high-pressure points in the game and having fun. It was a little nerve wracking to be one of two freshmen on the varsity team this year, but I got comfortable over the course of the season."
