People of Fenton: Freshman Emilia Owocki

Anna Ebert, Writer

“This is going to be my 13th year dancing at Miss Bridget’s School of Dance. One thing I love about being on the team there is that you automatically have friends that you’re with a couple days a week, and you see them all the time so you’re always talking and hanging out. Having these friends has had  the greatest impact on me. They’re so supportive and fun to be around. I have a studio in my basement, so I stretch and practice my team’s competition dances down there. I have had my dance room for about 4 years. My favorite type of dance is contemporary and my least favorite is belly dancing. I probably won’t pursue dance for my career, but I do want to keep dancing after high school, maybe on a dance team in college. My advice would be to practice whenever you can, keep going over things in your head whenever you have free time. That’s the best way to get better.”
