People of Fenton: CADD teacher Andy Cocagne

Im+leaving+for+a+position+where+I+think+the+job+opportunity+is+better.++The+type+of+classes+I+will+teach+and+the+opportunities+I+will+have+are+better+at+the+other+school%2C+Waterford+Kettering.+My+biggest+concern+is+how+the+programs+will+run+once+I+leave%2C+that+they+will+find+someone+to+teach+what+Ive+been+teaching.+Part+of+the+reason+I+am+leaving+is+the+change+from+the+block+scheduling+to+the+six+period+block%2C+less+kids+can+take+CADD+due+to+how+many+elective+slots+there+are.+I+dont+know+how+much+longer+Ill+be+able+to+teach+CADD+with+the+scheduling+change.+

“I’m leaving for a position where I think the job opportunity is better. The type of classes I will teach and the opportunities I will have are better at the other school, Waterford Kettering. My biggest concern is how the programs will run once I leave, that they will find someone to teach what I’ve been teaching. Part of the reason I am leaving is the change from the block scheduling to the six period block, less kids can take CADD due to how many elective slots there are. I don’t know how much longer I’ll be able to teach CADD with the scheduling change.”
