“If I hear the phrase ‘be yourself,’ marching band instantly comes to mind, because to me, ‘being yourself’ means expressing yourself and being passionately immersed in something you love. For the last two years, I’ve had the honor of drum majoring on behalf of Fenton’s marching band, and nothing has made me feel more alive. Enveloped in music is where I feel most at home, and most truly myself. I’m extremely grateful for the experiences I’ve had with the marching band, and am excited that the ensemble provides those same experiences for future generations of musicians.” – senior Brody Stack
