“I’ve discovered that I have a huge passion for painting. Ever since COVID-19 I’ve been able to explore more about myself and hobbies I’m interested in. I struggle with anxiety and depression. So when I’m feeling overwhelmed I use painting as a creative outlet. So each painting that I do has a meaning behind them. When I can’t find the right words, I know I can try to paint what I’m feeling to get out all of the negative energy. My favorite painting that I’ve done is probably one with gradient blues for a background. As well as a silhouette of a girl swinging on a tree. That painting is my favorite because it gives me a reminder to live freely.” -senior Liz Donohue
