The InPrint Barista: Dunkin Donuts is worth it

A popular debate nowadays is whether Dunkin’ Donuts is really worth the hype or not. Another popular debate is whether Starbucks is better than Dunkin’. While both are great options, they have very different qualities that set them apart from each other.

The sizes at Dunkin’ Donuts are small, medium, large and extra-large. There are also many different coffee options ranging from Iced Coffee, Americanos, Lattes, Macchiatos and more. Dunkin’ also has teas, refreshers and smoothies for those that aren’t fans of coffee.

I went to the Dunkin Donuts in Hartland and ordered a large Iced Peppermint Mocha and it cost me $4.89 from Dunkin;. The coffee had a perfect taste— it wasn’t too sweet but it also wasn’t too bitter. Along with the great coffee taste, the peppermint flavor was the perfect amount.

Having a peppermint coffee can either be a hit or a miss; some coffees are made with too much peppermint flavoring that overtakes the whole drink— defeating the point of the coffee— while others aren’t made with enough peppermint, leaving people wanting more flavor. Dunkin’s Peppermint Mocha had the perfect amount of peppermint, leaving a perfect balance of coffee taste and the peppermint flavor.

Dunkin’ also offers many different food options such as bagels, sandwiches, wraps, muffins, donuts and more. Making Dunkin a great place to stop to get breakfast and coffee.

With a Dunkin’ opening up on Leroy St. by VG’s, I will definitely be spending more time there, trying more of their coffee and food options. I don’t believe that Dunkin is better than Starbucks, Dunkin has more food options; so if your wanting food and coffee Dunkin would be the better choice, but if your wanting just coffee then Starbucks is still a great place to go.
