“The most challenging part of being junior drum major this year was living up to the example that both Josh Maier and Brody Stack set last year. It felt like a huge honor to take Brody’s spot, but with that came a lot of responsibility. The process of adapting to my position was challenging at times, but throughout this season I learned how to be a role model, a friend and a leader to others. It’s been so rewarding to see that positive impact on the people around me, and I think those moments of hardship made it worth it in the end.” -junior Tess DuPei
