Haunted houses are at their peak in October. These haunted houses can include many different scares, but there are other similar options as well. There are not just haunted houses that can offer a fright and fun, but many spooky trails and hayrides.
The first haunted house is rated at a 4.8 on Google reviews. It is located at 13575 N. Fenton Road, Fenton, Mich. 48430. The haunted house is called the Howling Haunted Trail. All proceeds for this haunted house go to Adopt-A-Pet, according to thehowlinghauntedtrail.com. The remaining open dates during the current season are Oct. 21 and 22. Tickets are online for $25 on Friday and $30 on Saturday and they are $5 more at the door.
Another local attraction is Rotten Manor, located at 13245 Dixie Hwy, Holly, Mich. 48442. Rotten Manor was voted a “Top 5 Haunted Attraction in Michigan” by ClickonDetroit, according to rottenmanor.com. Rotten Manor includes many different attractions besides the haunted house itself. They also offer hayrides and spooky trails. Rotten Manor is open Thursday-Sunday all of October. Tickets start at $20.
Spooky Trails offers fun for the whole family. Spooky Trails is located 8266 Baldwin Road, Swartz Creek, Mich. 48473. Spooky Trails offers hayrides, halloween haunts, pumpkin picking, fall festivals and haunted houses. Spooky Trails is open all weekends in October and there are three different trails to choose from. Another trail sure to give people a scare is Insidious Acres Haunted Trail. Insidious Acres Haunted Trail is located 1400 Baldwin Rd, Fenton, Mich. 48430. To get to Insidious Acres Haunted Trail, a hayride will pick people up at the parking lot and give them a 15 minute spooky ride to the trail, then when they are done going through the trail, the hayride will pick them back up and give them a spooky ride back to the parking lot, according to insidiousacres.com. Tickets start at $20 and it is open Oct. 22, 28 and 29.
