The boys and girls varsity basketball teams will be playing at Little Caesars Arena on Feb. 1. 

“The girls varsity team will be playing first; they are scheduled to play at noon on Wednesday,” Athletic Director Edward Uhrik said. “The boys varsity team will be playing at 1:45 p.m. later that day.”

The unique offer was headed by Linden high’s athletic director. Fenton will be playing against Linden—the Detroit Pistons game will follow at 7 p.m. 

This opportunity is one met by excitement by both rival teams.

“This is going to be a fun event; we’re both excited for it and I think both schools and programs will really have a great day,” Uhrik said. “I hope it will become a tradition year after year.”

Transportation for athletes will be provided by bus. Students who are planning on attending the game will need their own form of transportation. FHS students planning to go to the game should remember to make sure their parents call them out for the day and to buy tickets prior to the game.
