1- How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days 

“How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days” is a 2003 romance comedy about a columnist (Kate Hudson) writing to lose a guy in 10 days. Ben (Matthew McConaughey), an executive, tries to win a bet on winning and keeping a girl in 10 days. Their paths cross, and they both start to get annoyed at each other, but slowly fall in love. This is an enjoyable watch if you need a great laugh.

2- 10 Things I Hate About You 

Julia Stiles and Heath Ledger star in this teen romance comedy: a modernized version of Shakespeare’s “Taming of the Shrew. It is a teen romance with all of the teenage stereotypes. The movie is about the untouchable, popular girl— Bianca (Larisa Oleynik)— who is lusted by two men—the popular model, Joey (Andrew Keegan), and the new geek, Cameron (Joseph Gordon-Levitt). Bianca has a house rule, she can only date when her older sister Kat (Julia Stiles) starts to date. The desperate boys find a perfect match for Kat, a bad boy (Heath Ledger), and offer him money to take out Kat. This movie has a very fun attitude and shows the teens fall in love with each other. It is definitely worth watching when you need a laugh, and maybe even a cry.

3- The Proposal
“The Proposal” stars Sandra Bullock, Ryan Reynolds and Betty White in this hilarious romantic comedy. Directed by Anne Fletcher, this movie is a must see. Sandra Bullock plays Margaret, a high powered book editor and traps her assistant, Andrew (Ryan Reynolds), into a fake engagement in order to avoid deportation to Canada from New York. However, Andrew has to take a trip to Alaska to visit his family and has to take Margaret with him. With his family suspicious of their engagement, Margaret and Andrew have to stick to their plans. This movie is worth the laugh and is very heartwarming.

4- Love Actually
In this Christmas romantic comedy, nine love stories are intertwined. Each story has its own differences but they are all the same by the emotion that connects us all together—love. Richard Curtis wrote and directed this 2003 classic. It stars an ensemble cast, including Hugh Grant, Colin Firth, Emma Thompson, Kiera Knightley, Liam Neeson, Thomas Brodie-Sangster and Bill Nighy.

5- Monte Carlo
This romantic comedy is about two best friends, Grace (Selena Gomez) and Emma (Katie Cassidy), who have to take Grace’s step sister, Meg (Leighton Meester), along on a summer trip to Paris. While there, Grace is mistaken for a British socialite and acts like her for the rest of the trip. They then go to Monte Carlo and live the dream life, with all the parties, dances and events. Then, the real Cordelia arrives. This movie shows the aspects of friendship and love and is an excellent watch.
