“I have been teaching for 23 years now. I taught at a middle school in Ohio, Eastern Michigan University, Carman-Ainsworth High School and here at Fenton High. Primarily, I wanted to teach English because I was good at it, but I wanted to help people. I had one teacher who helped me and I thought that if I could give that back, I could make a difference. I look forward to coming to work each day because I get to be with my students. I like talking with them and cracking jokes, and I like to see them get excited about things when teaching.” -English teacher Vera Hazlett.
