“My favorite thing about this time of the year is going on Christmas break and getting to spend Christmas with my family. A family tradition that I have is making chocolate covered pretzels with my whole family. We do this every year around Christmas and it’s a super fun way to spend time with each other. I definitely prefer warm weather, but I do love it when it snows around this time of year because it gets me in the Christmas mood. I enjoy giving gifts over receiving them. Getting everyone gifts is definitely one of my favorite parts of Christmas.” – senior Libby Pattan

“My favorite hobbies include hockey, video games, and hanging out with friends. I’ve been playing hockey for at least eight years or something like ten years, and I really enjoy the sport, so it's a good way to spend most of my free time. My favorite thing to do, though, is relays. I like the team aspect and being able to cheer everyone on. Outside of swimming, I like to lift, golf, and play Rainbow Six Siege. “I’m passionate about music and sports. I play volleyball and sing in the Ambassadors. I also lead the worship team for my youth group, which is something I love being a part of. In my free time, I enjoy reading and writing, and I hope to publish my own novel someday. “I do like theater. It gives me a chance to not be me. Dramatic. I can be dramatic. It’s fun because I get to meet all these new people and I get to act. I help with the crew. I’m not part of the crew, but I’m part of the cast. I am a part of CTH (Community Theater of Howell), I have been there since I was 8. My grandpa directs the stuff there so I was there all the time. My third production was at Pinckney Players, and now I’m acting at FHS.” -Sophomore Kaidence Neil

“I really enjoy playing video games and just like hanging out with my friends. My favorite video game is probably splatoon 3. I have played it since I was like eight. It’s just like really cool. It’s very colorful, very like fast paced game. There’s a lot of strategy that can go into it if you really play it like that, but it can also be played casually, so it’s very versatile to. I really like math this year. I feel like it’s very easy to understand the material. I play bass clarinet, but I also play clarinet and tenor saxophone. “Originally, I was planning on going to dental school and becoming a dentist but last year I took psychology and I just fell in love with learning about it. I’ve never really felt that way about learning something. I just found it so interesting. I want to be able to help people with what is going on in their minds, especially athletes because I understand first hand how mentally challenging some sports can be. I want to be a person who can study and help people understand what is going on in their own minds.” - senior Lydia Klemish
