The MYP Personal Project has ended for the sophomores. On, April 21, the fourth annual Personal Project exhibition night took place.

“For my project I built a gun case,” sophomore Spencer Bundy said. “I love guns, so building a case was actually a really fun way to complete my project. I wasn’t one of those procrastinators, I finished my project three months before the deadline. The exhibition wasn’t that fun to me, it was kind of boring.”

The exhibition lasted for two hours for students. They were required to be in their presenting spots from 6:30 p.m.. to 8:30 p.m..M. and the doors opened at 7 p.m. for all spectators. People from all over the community came to view the sophomores’ projects.

“I coached a mini mite goalie,” sophomore Natalie Miller said. “I liked the exhibition because it was a chance to see everyone else’s project and share mine with my family and friends. I found doing something I loved helped the process of completing the project much easier. I completed my project before the deadline with time to spare.”

The project’s topic could be anything the student wanted it to be. In addition to the creating the project, sophomores were also required to write a 1500-3000 word report and complete a minimum of 20 journals, to document their progress.

“I procrastinated on this project,” sophomore Jack Hall said. “It made my project so much harder than it had to be. Once I was done with it for good, I was as happy as a new parent, multiplied by about five.”
