The Fenton and Linden girls challenged the Dragons at Swartz Creek and won its first victory, 13-11.

“We played them [the first time] on April 23 and lost,” freshman Dalanie Morgan said. “It felt good to win our first game of the season. Our coach was so excited that he shaved the right side of his beard in celebration.”

The top scorer of the match was sophomore Ellie Reuschlein. The four goals she scored were the decisive factor in achieving the win.

“This is my first experience with lacrosse,” Reuschlein said. “I have scored before, but four goals was the most I have scored in a single game so far.”

Other players, junior Kendall Carino and freshman Kelly Kemp also contributed to the first win for the Heat over the Dragons by scoring three points each.
