When google searching something one might not think of the dangers. But did you know that because you are using Wi-Fi people track the sites you are using. Hackers can get your login information for most of your accounts. They can also send viruses through email, pop-up messages and search result links.

The Like-ability
According to Information System and Technology, close to 100 million Americans have their personal information placed at risk of theft each year when records in databases are lost, stolen or accessed by unauthorized individuals.

Receiving Information 
Hackers can easily get into accounts, have you you ever hit the ‘remember password’ button on a site, well this is a way that hackers can get your password. Making fake URLs to get you to login or create accounts is another way attackers will use, but there are ways to tell if it is fake. Sometimes hackers will use big company names and misspell them slightly, make sure to check the whole name of the website.

Old Devices
Another way someone can get people’s login is by taking their old devices. A hacker can take a old computer and access your logins and personal information.

Back-Ups
Make sure to backup your data, attackers can wipe your data off the computer. To backup the data you can copy your data over to a protective system so that you can access them when they are needed. Hackers look for names and addresses, Social Security Number, credit card or bank account numbers and passwords.

Stay Safe
Even with the dangers there is a way that one can lessen the chance of getting hacked. Changing your password frequently and using temporary password when using public Wi-Fi. Some other ways that someone can protect themselves from hackers is downloading a virus software this can protect you from going on to unsafe sites.
