Video: A day in the life of a drum major

Follow senior Tess DuPei through a day in her life as a drum major.

"Marching band is my passion. It’s a big part of my life. I spend 90 percent of my week doing stuff related to marching band. In the high school marching band, I’m the drum major. I’m also in a winter drumline, I play bass drum. Being drum major is a lot of responsibility, you’re basically the leader of the band. You represent the entirety of Fenton bands wherever you go."

Learning the skills that it takes to be drum major, sophomore Cray Dumeah and other Marching Band students auditioned to become drum major for the 2018 - 2019 school year. Congratulations to Dumeah to for earning the role to lead the Marching Tigers next season.
