“I started acting in the third grade after my brother asked me to be a gosling in the FHS Theatre Department's production of Charlotte's Web. From then on I was hooked and I was in at least one production a year since then. My favorite production so far would be Columbinus because we tackled such a pressing issue and that was my first time being in a large acting position.” - senior Joe Fleck

“We are hanging up marigolds for our spanish class. We watched the movie CoCo because we are learning about the Day of the dead. The flowers represent what families used to put on the graves, also known as the ofrendas, that would supposedly allow them to cross over to the land of the dead to see their dead family members. This concept is interesting to me because we don’t do anything like that in American culture besides funerals.” - freshman Isaiah Plumley

“I love big cities. California is one big city I’ve never visited but always wanted to go to. One reason I’ve always wanted to go is because of how much I like the beach. Going to the beach has always been a fun thing for me to do with my friends and family. It’s always been a hope of mine to go to Hollywood Boulevard and see the Hollywood sign.” - sophomore Aiden Dunker

“When I was eight I thought it would be a fun challenge to start pursuing acting. I joined KTK, Kidz Theater Kompany, a part of the Fenton Village Players. I now participate in acting at the Starlight theater in Waterford. I recently played the role of Scar in the “Lion King”. I love acting because it’s a one fun way I can further express myself. I love taking on the challenges of the roles that I'm given.” - sophomore Ava LaFayette

“I really love to dance. The dance studio is a safe place where I feel the most free to express myself. The art form, as well as the friends I dance with, has helped me through many hard times. For me, it’s a way I can express myself without words. I could never find it in myself to stop dancing, it's become a part of me.” - sophomore Meghan Maier

“I love performing because it exhilarates me but also makes me feel so much more chill. It is a little freeing. When I am performing I don’t have to be Skye Hodgkin. I can be a more confident version of myself.”- sophomore Skye Hodgkin

"I make friendship bracelets, no really one knows this about me the hobby originally started in girl scouts as a simple craft the girls would , it soon turned into relaxing activity that I participate in regularly, despite what people think I find getting into a rhythm of an activity that requires time to finish it can be calming. I've also started selling them to my friends and students the prices start as low as two dollars and go higher the more time and effort I put into it. The hobby is creates a calm and stress free environment, getting to see what new patterns I can make each time I start to create a new bracelet. - freshman Payten Van Every

“In general, I like to be alone, which makes it hard to make friends. If I can, I’ll try to avoid the situation, but if I can’t, then I just have to face it head on and try my best. If it’s awkward, it’s awkward. I’m new to Fenton; it’s a lot different. But marching band helps me open up; the upperclassmen seem to take to new people pretty well, especially the freshman. I just need people to be understanding and know that I’m not from here. I don’t know how things work very well.” - freshman Ethan Petts

“Before taking the Desktop Publishing and Advanced Journalism offered at FHS I had never had exposure or hands on experience with a camera or Photoshop. I was always so interested but never had an opportunity to get hands on and in depth experience I was looking for. By taking these classes throughout my high school career, I was able to experiment and express my creative side while also getting credits to graduate with. Still, even two years after graduating I am practicing and utilizing what I learned in these classes for my own on the side business, shooting professional, senior photography and videography. I believe if I hadn’t experienced these classes, I wouldn’t be doing what I love to do today.” - graduate Jacob Angelovski
