Local, fresh, Fenton grown produce such as lettuce, green peppers and carrots can be found at the Fenton Farmer’s Market. Along with much more, such as jewelry, homemade art from local artists and locally harvested honey.

This is the Farmer’s Market’s 20 year in Fenton. Southern Lakes Director Sherie Peruski is hoping to help provide Fenton with fresh produce from the Fenton Farmer’s Market.

“The main focus of the Fenton Farmer’s Market is to offer the community fresh local produce,” Peruski said, “And to showcase local artisans and crafters.”

This year at the Fenton Farmer’s Market there will be 45 vendors.

“We hope to foster community involvement and sense of community spirit to buy local,” Peruski said.

With the Fenton Farmer’s Market being right by the Fenton Community Center and by Dibbleville, Peruski said it gets a lot of traffic.

“Typically on average there are around 800 to 1000 people that attend the Fenton Farmer’s Market each week,” Peruski said.

The vendor that has been with the Fenton Farmer’s Market the longest is Roeske Farms.

“The vendor who has been here the longest is Roeske Farms,” Peruski said. “Eric and Patty Roeske of Hartland have been at the Fenton Farmer’s Market for more than 10 years.”

The Fenton Farmer’s Market is located in the Fenton Community Center Parking lot, which is directly across from the Fenton United Methodist Church. The Market starts on June 22 and ends on September 21.
