“It’s been great as many of my friends were in marching band with me, and many of the percussionists that I knew from marching band are also doing drumline. Performing in front of thousands of people at football games was a little nerve racking at first, but after a couple of games, I learned to enjoy it. Basketball games are a little different as the crowd is much closer to where I’m performing, but I play the same type of drum as I did during marching band, so I’m more comfortable and confident about how I will perform.” – freshman Ben Weigle
