Grahm Staib

Grahm Staib, Writer

Grahm is a senior at Fenton High School, and this is his first year on staff as a writer. Grahm is very active at the school and in the community, as he is a member of NHS, KEY club, and captains club; Totalling 60+ volunteering hours over the various groups. He has also been a member of the varsity baseball team since his freshman year, and was been voted all-league and won Regionals in 2019. Grahm is aspiring to go to law school after achieving his undergrad, to eventually practice law in the future.

“While in quarantine I have been trying to keep myself busy. That includes doing puzzles, playing wii and of course watching “Tiger King”. It’s nice to have everyone in my family home during this time so I always have something to do with them. I’ve been on many family walks and have had many family game nights. “It’s been great as many of my friends were in marching band with me, and many of the percussionists that I knew from marching band are also doing drumline. Performing in front of thousands of people at football games was a little nerve racking at first, but after a couple of games, I learned to enjoy it. Basketball games are a little different as the crowd is much closer to where I’m performing, but I play the same type of drum as I did during marching band, so I’m more comfortable and confident about how I will perform.” - freshman Ben Weigle

“VEI has been both a class that is fun, and a class that I believe will provide me with transferable skills before I go into the business world. I know that the business world is very competitive so gaining these skills as early as possible is essential. For example. recently I was part of a group that traveled to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee for a trade show where I had to deal with various VEI firms from around the country. There was a lot of work preparing for this trade show, as we had to make sure we marketed our product efficiently.” - senior Zach Schultz

“Football is a sport that you miss when youre away from it. In previous years I’ve always had the next season to look forward to, but knowing that this is my last year playing football has motivated me and my senior teammates to have a great season. We will play extra hard during playoffs because each game could be our last.
