A new restaurant approaches Fenton– Texas Roadhouse is coming to Silver Parkway. This restaurant was approved by the Fenton City Planning Commission on Sept. 22 and the crew started working on the site the week of Dec. 21.

According to Tri County Times, the restaurant will be 8,039 square feet and will cover the land in the Silver Lake Village Planned Unit Development (PUD). It will be next to Applebee’s and across from Subway. The building will take on the traditional roadhouse design, with brick along the lower part of the building and a one story level.

As reported by the Tri County Times, according to Jason Payne, the building official administrator for Fenton, it will take approximately four months to complete the new restaurant; however the exact opening has not been announced.

The first Texas Roadhouse dates back to 1993 in Indiana, according to Rock radio. Now, there are over 600 locations in the United States, including 19 in Michigan, with the newest planned for Fenton. For more information on the new restaurant, visit texasroadhouse.com.
