Ingredients:

Cooking spray

4 tablespoons of unsalted butter

Bag of mini marshmallows

1 tablespoon of honey

1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract

6 cups of cocoa-flavored crispy rice cereal

12 vanilla or chocolate-flavored candy chews (example: Tootsie Rolls)

Directions:

Spray spoon and 1/3 dry measuring cup with cooking spray. Line baking sheet with a light coat of cooking spray as well.

Melt the butter in a medium sized saucepan over medium heat. Add marshmallows, honey, vanilla and a pinch of salt. Stir with spoon until marshmallows are completely melted (4 to 6 minutes). Remove from heat, add cereal and stir mixture until the ingredients are combined together.

Use prepared 1/3 measuring cup to scoop out mixture. Place onto the baking sheet into mounds. Let them cool for a few seconds before handling.

Spray hands with cooking spray, and firmly press and pat each mound into a shape of a football. Let treats sit at room temperature for about 20 minutes.

Cut the candy chews lengthwise into quarters. Roll each piece into thin ropes and cut short and long lengths to make them look like the laces on a football.

Store at room temperature in an airtight container until the day of the event.
