Working+on+the+egg+lab+in+her+biology+class%2C+sophomore+Ally+Lenz+pours+a+liquid+in+a+graduated+cylinder.+The+point+of+this+lab+is+to+learn+about+active+and+passive+transport+and+how+the+cell+membrane+works.+We+started+the+lab+with+putting+the+egg+in+vinegar%2C+then+over+the+course+of+multiple+days%2C+we+repeat+the+steps+with+water+and+corn+syrup%2C+Lenz+said.+Im+more+of+a+hands-on+learner%2C+so+being+able+to+do+the+lab+helped+me+learn+a+lot+more+than+by+taking+notes.+

Working on the egg lab in her biology class, sophomore Ally Lenz pours a liquid in a graduated cylinder. “The point of this lab is to learn about active and passive transport and how the cell membrane works. We started the lab with putting the egg in vinegar, then over the course of multiple days, we repeat the steps with water and corn syrup,” Lenz said. “I’m more of a hands-on learner, so being able to do the lab helped me learn a lot more than by taking notes.”
