Try these fall recipes: Baked Apples and Pumpkin Seeds

Baked apples

4 large apples,like Honeycrisp
4 tablespoons butter, softened
1/2 cup brown sugar
3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 cup chopped pecans
3/4 cup of water

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
2.Wash apples and core them. Make sure that there is still a little bit of a bottom for
the filling.
3. Mix the butter, brown sugar, cinnamon and pecans. roll logs
of mixture and stuff into cored apples.
4. Fill a baking dish with 3/4 cup water or at least enough cover the bottom.
5. Place the apples upright in the dish.
6. Bake until the apples are soft and the filling is browned, about 1 hour.

Pumpkin Seeds

1 Whole Pumpkin
Pinch of salt
Pinch of pepper
1 tablespoon butter, Melted

1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.
2. Cut open pumpkin from the top and remove pumpkin guts with spoon.
3.Clean the seeds of the pumpkin guts, wash with water and place seeds on paper towel to dry
completely.
4.Toss seeds in bowl with melted butter.
5. Put all the seeds on a baking sheet and season them with salt and pepper.
6. Put in the oven and bake for 40 minutes or until golden brown.
