After leaving their microphones to approach the edge of the stage, the Ambassadors sing the hit song “Shut up and Dance” by Walk the Moon as a cappella. “We’ve been working on this song since before Christmas and we’ve performed it several times while caroling, including at the Lion’s Club,” freshman Emily Hayes said. “It’s such a known song that we want to make sure people like it. One challenge of performing it is the lack of instruments to jam to. We have to maintain our facial expressions and snap our fingers despite not being able to listen to the music.”
