At the Tiger Run, senior Jon Leaske passes out medals to the finishing runners. I was helping out for NHS, Leaske said. It was fun to see the runners coming across and cheering on the people who were running because it made them happy. The little kids who ran across were funny because they were running hard and when they crossed the finish line, they were amazed to get a medal and felt really good about themselves.

Watching the nurse unwrap a bandage, senior Macie Keller finishes giving blood at the blood drive. I gave blood because I wanted to help save lives. I have enough blood to give, so I though why not just donate some? It felt good to be able to know that youve saved or improved someones life, and thats why I enjoy giving blood.

At the JV soccer game, freshman Abbey Lee dribbles the soccer ball. Ive played soccer for over half of my life and I love it. Ive played on different travel teams and Ive worked really hard to get to where I am today. Its nice to finally be able to play soccer for my school and I enjoy it very much.

Introducing the golf team at meet the team, sophomore Edward Farrell talks about the expectations for the season.Theres a lot of freshman on the team this year and they are really talented. There is also a lot of new players, so that will be interesting. I think that we are going to be good this year, because we have a loit of consistent players and last year we had two players that carried our team. I changed my swing up so I may be a little shaky at first, but I am expecting to become as good or better than I was last year.

Sarah Cummings is going to Tiffin University where she will continue to pursue her girls basketball career. Cummings has received many awards in her four years of high school sports as a part of the varsity girls basketball, golf, and soccer teams. “I started playing basketball at the age of 12. It was a goal for me to play basketball in college. When I was younger I used to watch my dad play in his league and I fell in love with the game watching him play.” Cummings said. “I am happy that Im playing in college because Im excited about my future and I think I still have a lot of potential that hasnt been reached yet, and confident that my coach will let me reach that as Becky Moore did all four years”

After leaving their microphones to approach the edge of the stage, the Ambassadors sing the hit song Shut up and Dance by Walk the Moon as a cappella. Weve been working on this song since before Christmas and weve performed it several times while caroling, including at the Lions Club, freshman Emily Hayes said. Its such a known song that we want to make sure people like it. One challenge of performing it is the lack of instruments to jam to. We have to maintain our facial expressions and snap our fingers despite not being able to listen to the music.

Drinking his glass of sparkling grape juice, junior John Trecha plays his part as Mr. Dussel in the Diary of Anne Frank. I was rehearsing for the play, and this is the part where I first arrived at the annex and am telling the Franks and the van Daans how terrible life has become on the outside. I put a lot of time and effort into the play. It was a very time consuming process, but it was worth it when when we got to the final result. We worked on the play after school most days from 2:45 p.m. to 6 p.m. or later everyday plus tech which was from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

At the Panera Bread fundraiser, freshman Madison Dunkel studies for her physical science exam. I was going through the checklist/ study guide and reading everything in the textbook. I went to Panera because I thought it would be a good way to relax and study with friends. It helped a lot, I went into the exam feeling really relaxed.

The local Panera Bread hosted a fundraiser for Fenton Highs publications. We would like to thank all who came to study for your exams and support our staffs.

During the JV girls game Vs Howell, sophomore Molly Gundry gets ready to rebound the ball shot by a Howell girl. I was really excited and nervous, Gundry said. We played a really tough team and they had a pretty big lead on us with 4 minutes left and we focused on getting back on track and scoring points . We only lost by two points, and we all played together as a team. It was fun seeing everyone on our team getting into the game and cheering loud.

Homecoming week is approaching and the senior girls are kicking off the week with the powder puff game Monday the Sept 28. In the huddle we talk about what we should do differently as far as the play goes, senior Hailey Tallman said. We are using all of the same plays as last year so the girls are familiar with them.
