“I have been on the newspaper staff for all four years of high school. It was fun doing it all four years because I had a group of people that I could go through high school with the entire time and I had a safe place in Mrs. Hoover’s room. In my freshman year, my editor in chiefs were really great and they took me under their wings and helped me out with stories. I really enjoyed bonding with them. Advice for incoming freshmen who want to be a part of the staff is come in with an open mind and be ready to learn a lot, because writing for a newspaper is different from writing for an English class. “I would say the challenging part is the stress of it. Late nights along with memorizing lines and music or dances is hard. But honestly the people and my passion make up for the bad days.
