With Sadies fast approaching, the tables are turning and the girls are asking the guys in the most creative ways possible.

Love is in the air, and so is the pressure to ask that special guy to Sadies. However, it’s not as easy as saying, “Will you go to Sadies with me?”. No. That’s too easy, too simple. There’s no excitement. The thing about school dances is it gives you the opportunity to flex your creative muscles and ask that special someone in a truly memorable way. Now that it’s the girl’s turn to ask the guy and show them how it’s done.

One example is sophomore Cassidy Brinker. She made a tie for her boyfriend that matched her dress and had “Sadies?” embroidered in it. Another is senior Rachel Sperry, who, after her dance team performance on January 24th, held up a giant poster saying “Mike…Sadies?” before a gymnasium of spectators.

Or what about sophomore Charissa Schultz, who decorated her dates band instrument with “Sadies?”, and sophomore Shealynn Mandle who filled her boyfriend’s car with balloons and wrote “Sadies?” on the outside.

It is almost a competition to see who can come up with the most creative way to ask their man to the flip-flopped dance called Sadies. Maybe the boys can take some pointers from their ladies on how to ask them to future dances.
