Recently, Netflix has added many shows and movies to watch, both old and new. If the mood is for something fresh or nostalgic, here is a guide for Netflix’s new releases.

  1. One day (2024)

“One Day” features Ambika Mod and Leo Woodall in a British limited series drama based on the novel by David Nicholls with the same title. Following two friends, this story reveals their relationship deepen after many years that started on the night of graduation. This series is a great watch if the mood is right for a romantic drama set in the 1980s.

  1. Waves (2019)

This 2019 film reveals the lives of a suburban African family while they go through hardships and navigate love and forgiveness during a loss. The cast stars Kelvin Harrison Jr, Taylor Russell, Alexa Demie and Lucas Hedges. This movie not only shows the nostalgia of 2019, but also the emotional journey of a brother and sister. 

  1. Can I Tell You A Secret? (2024)

In this Docuseries, three women’s compelling stories of how their lives changed uncover the truth behind a prolific stalker that targeted his victims’ social media accounts. This true crime show is a great watch for an edge of the seat thrill.

  1. 27 Dresses (2008)

This romantic comedy, a perennial bridesmaid is always the go-to when it comes to help with wedding plans. However, when her younger sister takes the man she secretly loves, she questions her role as a bridesmaid. In the meantime, a reporter thinks that the bridesmaid situation is a great story. This cast includes Katherine Heigl, James Marsden and Malin Akerman in a great romcom to watch with snacks on a night in. 

  1. Through My Window 3: Looking at You (2024)

In this foreign film, Spanish actors Clara Galle and Julio Peña star in the third sequel of a romantic comedy about two lovers who can’t find a way to work their relationship out, resulting in going their separate ways. However, when winter starts, they find themselves feeling love and attraction they once had, again.
