Fenton families can officially kick off the holiday season at this year’s Jinglefest, scheduled for Dec. 6 in downtown Fenton. With activities from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., the whole family can experience the magic of Fenton’s annual Christmas kickoff.
At 9 a.m., at the Fenton Community and Cultural Center, there will be breakfast with Santa. To reserve a spot, register on the Fenton and Linden Chamber of Commerce website to purchase a ticket. The money raised from this event will benefit the non-profit organizations Clara’s Hope and Center of Hope. And starting at 10 a.m., there will be a rotary Christmas tree decorating at Bush Park.
At 3:00 p.m., free activities including cookie decorating, ice sculptures and a Jinglejam warming tent will be available by the Fenton Community Center. FHS’s own KEY Club will be running Letters to Santa, photos with Santa and take-and-make arts kits.
“Seeing the kids take pictures with Santa is one of the highlights of the event,” KEY Club Adviser Mark Suchowski said.
Food, snacks, and treats will also be available to purchase. There will be a bake sale, hot chocolate and many more options available in the warming tent in front of the community center.
By the evening, at 6 p.m., there will be a holiday lighted parade through the downtown, tree lighting and fireworks.
With activities for all ages, the events promise a festive and memorable night for the entire Fenton community. For more information and a full schedule of events, visit https://www.fentonlindenchamber.com/jinglefest/ to view the Fenton & Linden Chamber of Commerce website.
