Sylvia Kline, Editor-in-Chief

Senior Sylvia Kline is a second-year staff member for the Fenton InPrint. She values being active an community member and is a part of the National Honor Society, E.C.O. Club, National Art Honor Society, Student Council, Fenton Youth Initiative, Varsity Soccer team and Book Club. Outside of school and extracurriculars, she frequently reads, writes, and spends time with her friends. After graduation, Sylvia hopes to attend a liberal arts college and study history and English.

“After high school, I am going to the University of Michigan for nursing. My mom inspired me the most to pursue nursing. I come from a single parent home and seeing how well she has taken care of me and my two siblings in such a nurturing manner inspires me to do the same to patients I will eventually have in the future. I knew Michigan was the right school for me as soon as I stepped on campus. Especially the nursing program in terms of the opportunities during clinicals. The amazing architecture and big school atmosphere really attracted me and eventually finalized my decision to go there. I am most excited for game days and getting to experience it at the Big House. Singing Mr. Brightside will be an amazing experience and something I am most looking forward to.” - senior Nina Frost

“I started skiing my freshman year, and I’ve been playing soccer since my sophomore year. I like both of them equally, because through soccer I’ve made a lot of friends and bonds with my teammates and skiing is more individual, but there is still a team itself. My favorite soccer memory was from our first game my senior year. When we were walking out, we would like to play music on our speaker, and we had an altercation with one of the other teams players, and to this day, we still talk about it. I would tell anyone thinking about joining the team to just do it, because soccer itself is a lot of fun and it allows you to make a lot of friends.” - senior Jonathan Moore

“When I was six, I loved Disney princesses and decided that I wanted to have clothes like them, so thats when I began creating and designing my own clothes. To me, fashion is an art form, and I love the amount of variety and creative freedom that you get when designing. Anything and everything is considered fashion and that’s what I love about it. My favorite piece I’ve ever made was my prom dress last year. It started out as just a sketch on paper, and I took inspiration from clothing that already existed and then started switching things up. So after all of the initial designing, I psychically made the dress which involved buying fabric, taking measurements, sewing and embroidering. Honestly, it’s like doing a puzzle where all the pieces are from different puzzles.” - senior Monroe Chapman

“The person that I’m closest with in my life is definitely my older sister, Makenna. Since she’s older, I’ve always looked up to her and viewed her as a role model. It was really hard when she moved away to go to college, but I’ve realized that’s just a step of growing up and it’s really strengthened our relationship.
