“I’m passionate about my family more than anything. My family is always there to support me so I want to help them through anything I can. Being a great big brother is always something that I want my siblings to think of me. I know that they look up to me so I always lead them by example.” - sophomore David McDermott

“The greatest life lesson I’ve learned is that you have to work really hard for what you want. When I was little, my parents always told me how hard I have to work if I really want to be successful. As a kid I never really understood that until high school when I started to really work hard in the classroom and at sports practices and workouts. I feel like I give myself the greatest chance to be great at something if I really work hard and try my best.” - sophomore Connor Luck

“The idea for the picture came from the fall theme of playing in the leaves,” sophomore Chase Gibson said, “so we tried to make it look like I was playing in the calculators.”

Seemingly able to match any outfit and impossible to keep clean, it feels as though everyone today owns at least one pair of all white shoes, if not more. Between the entirely white High Top and Low Top Converse, Sk8-Hi and Lo Pro Vans, Nike Air Force Ones and white tennis shoes of all brands, there are many different style options. Both Converse and Vans of all types were popular in the 80’s.

“Over the course of high school so far from the people I’ve been exposed, I’ve learned that if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself. I’ve also come to realize that you can’t rely on anyone else to be the source of your happiness; you have to make yourself happy, and only you. That’s the only and best way to live.” - sophomore Olivia Resa

“One of the things I’ve been most passionate about ever since I was little is dance. I’ve been training ever since I was 2 years old and I haven’t stopped since. It’s something that gives me an escape from reality and puts me in such a happy place. My plan is to become a dance major after high school and pursue that as my career for awhile. I wouldn’t be me without it.” - senior Maria Ebert

“I would remind my younger self to live in the moment rather than the past or the future. I spent a lot of time worrying about my future when I was younger and from that I unfortunately, you could say, ‘lost my childhood’ because I was too busy worrying about being an adult.” - senior Jaidyn Rogers

“It is so important to have integrity. High School has taught me that I will always be happier if I am kind and genuine, even if others are negative. I’ve learned that although those who write you off are not worth your stress, it only makes me feel worse to be negative back. In reality, no one knows what’s really going on in someone else’s life, and we should just treat others how we want to be treated.” - senior Megan Beemer

“One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned so far is that in every situation you’re unsure of, you need to have faith that everything will work out in your favor. Whether you’re happy about the outcome in the moment or not, there’s always a greater purpose being served. Even in bad situations when everything goes the opposite of what you planned, there is always something to be taken away and kept in the back of your mind for the future. Every little thing we experience throughout our lives helps shape us into the people we want to become. We’re all going to have to fall sometimes only to get back up and continuing to grow as human beings.” - junior Taylor Farrell
