Senior Ariana Papcun is a fourth year staff member, where she is a current Editor-in-Chief. Outside of the InPrint, she enjoys volunteering in the community, participating in clubs, painting and reading. In the future, Ariana plans on attending college at University of Michigan-Flint and pursuing a career as an HR manager.

“My favorite holiday is Christmas. My favorite tradition on Christmas is that every year, after Thanksgiving, I get to go to Bronners with my dad. “My biggest fear is letting down the people around me— especially my parents— because they have given me so much and I feel like it would be a waste to not do anything with the opportunities I have. It makes me work harder, especially in school with my advanced classes. I’m currently doing IB English, IB Biology, IB History and AP Government. I did honors (History and English) freshman year and I did AMS sophomore year. My favorite memory for both years was the big presentation at the end of the year. “My best memories are from the school dances because it's so different than actual classes but you're just with everyone you don't really talk to but it doesn’t really matter whos next to you, and you're just having fun. Advice I would give to the underclassmen is if you do care about your grades, it starts from your freshman year. If you really want a good GPA, you really have to work for it starting when you get into high school. It was fun doing it all four years because I had a group of people that I could go through high school with the entire time and I had a safe place in Mrs. Hoover’s room. In my freshman year, my editor in chiefs were really great and they took me under their wings and helped me out with stories. I really enjoyed bonding with them. Advice for incoming freshmen who want to be a part of the staff is come in with an open mind and be ready to learn a lot, because writing for a newspaper is different from writing for an English class. “I like being a teacher a lot. It’s always a pleasure to see everyone grow throughout the year. My students have not just grown physically but also have grown mature-wise, I like being able to see everyone just grow into better people throughout the year. I believe that I will still continue to be a teacher, the only thing I can foresee myself doing differently is being in some sort of administrative role, but I also see myself staying in physical science or physics and continuing to build that program.
